Who said 2018 alone was the year of the remakes? The first song of Student Of The Year 2, has just released, and we think it’s gonna be the party anthem of the season. No prizes for guessing – it is actually a remake of the old superhit ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’!

Karan Johar had, at a press conference, revealed how he aims to recreate a 90’s pop song in every installment of the SOTY franchise. In Student Of The Year, there was ‘Gulaabi Aankhein‘, which was also a remake. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has now been remade for Student Of The Year 2! The song is titled The Jawaani Song, and it is a peppy remake of the original, totally groove-worthy and worth jiving to. Check it out –

Will Smith, however, contrary to reports, did not feature in the song! Has his cameo been cut out of the current version? Or will he feature in another song in the film which is yet to be released? Well, we can only wait and watch!
The film is directed by Punit Malhotra, and stars Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, and Tara Sutaria in lead roles. Student Of The Year 2, aka SOTY 2, releases on May 12.
