Hrithik Roshan’s latest ‘Super 30’ has had a decent start at the box office. The Anand Kumar biopic picked up business in both metros and mass circuits, and has raked in a total of Rs. 30.4 crores over Friday and Saturday . According to industry experts, the film eyes a business of Rs. 50 crores on its opening weekend.

Super 30 is slowly picking up pace, as good reviews pour in for Hrithik Roshan’s portrayal of mathematician Anand Kuman in the film. The film has fared well overseas as well. Super 30 also opened at a higher figure than Hrithik Roshan’s last film Kaabil.
Super 30 is facing stiff competition from Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh, which has crossed Rs. 250 crores at the box office. Despite the controversies regarding its misogynistic theme and uncharitable remarks made by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Kabir Singh continues to do brisk business.

Another film that is slowly but steadily doing well at the box office is Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15. In three weeks, the film has done business of Rs. 55.83 crores. The film is inching closer towards the Rs. 60 crore mark, and with rave reviews pouring in, it stands stable at the box office, it’s indeed been a good summer at the movies.
