‘Kalank’ Teaser Releases In A Grand Event And Here’s All That The Celebrities Said

An eternal love story of a spectacular era, ‘Kalank’ has finally released its first teaser! After a series of look revelations of its six protagonists – Dharma Productions shared the official teaser on Twitter. 

In a build up to the trailer release, the film’s makers had also shared some stills from the film. Kalank is a multi-starrer period drama, set in the 1940’s. Everything from the character’s looks, to the opulent sets, and even the narrative exuded elegance and grace; truly looking larger than life!

The ensemble cast has Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan as the lead pair, along with Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, and Madhuri Dixit. The first of many multi-starrers of the year, Kalank is all set to hit theatres on April 19, 2019. The film is produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Abhishek Varman.

Sanjay Dutt on being asked about working with Madhuri Dixit after a hiatus of nearly two decades, said, “I was very happy. It was nice to work with her and I look forward to working with her again.”

“We are working together almost after 20 years. It was great working with Anil Kapoor also. So it is always great to work with old colleagues,” said the actress at the event about working with Sanjay Dutt in Kalank. On being asked about stepping into Sridevi’s shoes for the film, Madhuri said, “To step into the role, when you look into it as an actress, it’s a different scenario as you add your own inputs to the character, but we used to remember her on sets as she was a part of the film.”
