This Is Who Convinced Mahesh Bhatt To Make A Film With Daughter Alia

Alia Bhatt and her half sister Pooja Bhatt will unite in ‘Sadak 2’, Alia’s first film with father Mahesh Bhatt.

“It will never be easy as I don’t know him as a director, I know him as a dad. Working with him as a director will be a different ball game altogether. I am excited. It is an exciting film,” Alia told PTI.

‘Sadak’ is a 1991 romantic thriller starring actors Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. Pooja Bhatt, who was last seen in 2001 in Everybody Says I’m Fine, will be returning to the silver screen with after almost 17 years. Both, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt will reunite in Sadak 2 which was announced on the filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s 70th birthday.

Alia Bhatt also revealed it was Sanjay who urged Mahesh Bhatt to return to directing films. Bhatt’s last directorial was 1999 film Kartoos.

Sadak 2 is slated to release in 2020.
