It was a dark day in Indian history as a convoy carrying CRPF jawans was hit by terrorists in Pulwama, Kashmir. The film fraternity had come out in support of the martyred jawans, sharing condolences for the family. In an unprecedented move from the film industry, the team of Total Dhamaal has decided not to release the film in neighbouring state Pakistan, thereby strongly condemning the attacks.

Just days ahead of its release, both Anil Kapoor and Ajay DevGn took to Twitter to share the news. While the makers and producers of Total Dhamaal took this decision, Anil Kapoor also urged fans and followers to make contributions to the government fund for the slain jawaans.

In a press conference held in Delhi, Ajay DevGn also shared the same statement with the press. “It was a collective decision we took as makers, and the film will not be releasing in Pakistan in the light of the Pulwama attacks,” said DevGn in the conference. Watch the video here –
