‘The Josh’ Is Still High! Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Uri’ To Return To Theatres This Kargil Diwas

The josh is still running high, as the makers of ‘Uri’ are bringing the film back to the silver screen, this Kargil Diwas. According to reports, Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Uri’ will be screened across 500 theatres in Maharashtra, to celebrate the occasion.

Producer Ronnie Screwvala is thrilled and honoured to be a part of the initiative of screening Uri in theatres by the Maharashtra theatres. He spoke to Mumbai Mirror and said the idea of the film was to instill a sense of pride in the heart of every Indian and to highlight the incredible service of the armed forces of our nation; which is exactly what Kargil Diwas is all about.

Director of Uri, Aditya Dhar also feels that it is a wonderful initiative by Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The director further added that it was a great validation for any filmmaker for the way that his film has inspired the youth of today. The youngsters need to be aware of the valour and sacrifices of our brave soldiers, which is the direction in which Uri has inspired them to think.

Uri stars Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina and Paresh Rawal in lead roles. Aditya Dhar and Vicky Kaushal will be teaming up again for a new offering, Ashwatthama. Meanwhile, another one of Vicky Kaushal’s films reached a milestone, as it’s been four years since his big Cannes debut Masaan released. Vicky Kaushal talked about how he started filming Masaan and the preparation that he did by watching bodies burn at the ghats at Varanasi. He said that his job was to put life into his character Deepak, but what eventually ended up happening was the other way around.
