National Award winning actress Vidya Balan is known to leave no stone unturned for the preparations for her roles. She is currently in London shooting for ‘Shakuntala Devi’, a biopic based on the ace mathematician. The actress has been invited by students of Imperial College, London as a guest to interact with the students. The college is where Shakuntala Devi earned a place in the Guiness Book of World Records.

Shakuntala Devi had earned herself a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records when she achieved a feat nobody could have imagined. On 18 June, 1980, Shakuntala Devi demonstrated the multiplication of two 13-digit numbers picked at random by the Computer department of Imperial College, London. Shakuntala Devi correctly calculated the resultant figure within 28 seconds, stunning the department and taking them by surprise. The college has now, thus, invited actress Vidya Balan to interact with the students.
Speaking about it, an excited Vidya said, “Imperial College is an integral part of Shakuntala Devi’s life, this is the same college where she got her Guinness Book of world Records achievement. I am honoured that I am getting an opportunity to go visit this institute.”
Directed by Anu Menon, Shakuntala Devi also has Sanya Malhotra in the role of Vidya Balan’s daughter. The film has begun shooting and is slated for a summer 2020 release.
