Her big Bollywood debut might not be here already, but Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor is definitely getting there. A video of her dancing to funky drum beats surfaced on her trainer’s account recently, and internet is awestruck.
Shanaya Kapoor is acing her moves effortlessly, though the dance form in itself requires a lot of hard work. Shanaya Kapoor is dressed in all-black for the video, and she accessorized her look with golden hoop earrings and a golden belt that is characteristic to the dance form. Earlier, Sanjana Muthreja, who is her belly dance trainer and instructor, had shared a boomerang video of Shanaya and herself teasing the video, saying that it was coming out soon.

Shanaya Kapoor’s belly dancing video has a connection with her cousin Janhvi Kapoor as well. A video of Janhvi Kapoor belly dancing had been shared by the same trainer, though it was a shorter one than that of Shanaya’s. Her trainer had captioned the video, “Janhvi Kapoor belly dancing a small piece choreographed by me. Super quick learner.” The video had Janhvi Kapoor dancing to the tunes of the song Dance Deewane.

That’s not the only connection that Janhvi Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor have in common. Apart from being first cousins, both star kids are also collaborating on the professional front. Shanaya Kapoor is an Assistant Director of the Gunjan Saxena biopic that Janhvi Kapoor is starring in. Shanaya’s father Sanjay Kapoor posted about his daughter’s foray into the film industry –
“My hard working daughter shooting in 41 degress as an assistant director. Warm welcome to the film industry,” wrote Sanjay Kapoor in the post. While Shanaya Kapoor surely has envy-worthy belly dancer moves, it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer for her big Bollywood debut!
