Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, who are not just Bollywood actors but also global icons, have been nominated by WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to join the ‘Safe Hands’ challenge on Monday.
I now nominate:@deepikapadukone@priyankachopra@Schwarzenegger@CTurlington
to take the #SafeHands challenge by sharing their video & calling on at least another 3 people to join us! Together, we can beat #COVID19!— Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus (@DrTedros) March 13, 2020
The World Health Organization has kicked off the challenge to urge people to regularly wash their hands as the novel coronavirus continues to spread rapidly. Among many celebrities such as K-Pop band BTS, Bill Gates, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, Maggie De Block and others, he asked both the stars to join as well.
Meanwhile, the outbreak has brought everything to a standstill. While Priyanka Chopra is spending time petting her dog Gino, Deepika Padukone seems to be spending time sorting things out inside her wardrobe. Both the actors took to their respective social media to urge their fans to stay indoors and spend their time productively.
