During a recent interview with Goodtimes, director Zoya Akhtar revealed a bunch of secrets, the most important of them being – she is working on a ‘Gully Boy’ sequel, and of course, the fact that she stalked Anil Kapoor for one whole year. The reason? Read on.
We’ve all seen Anil Kapoor as the business-minded father, with blurry ideas of emotions and practicality in Dil Dhadakne Do. And one could not have imagined anyone being so annoying, yet lovable at the same time! Clearly, Zoya couldn’t either – which is why she stalked Anil for an entire year to get him on board.
I stalked him for a year. I stalked him because he had never said no, and he really liked the part!
She added that there was no clarity on whether or not he was willing to do the bit. He had obviously liked the part, but since there was no clear answer – Zoya had to resort to her stalking antics!
He had all these concerns, you know. That it’s an ensemble, and does he want to go grey.
Zoya, of course, would not have it any other way. And so, by pursuing the actor constantly, she finally got him on board.
He never said no to me, so I guess he wanted to be stalked!
Anil Kapoor has been garnering praises from all over for how young he looks in the post revealing the cast of his upcoming film, ‘Malang’. He has lost weight, and people are wondering what the secret to his youth is.
In fact, Sonam Kapoor tweeted out to his fans, revealing the secret and what Anil Kapoor says about his youthful looks. What he said was ‘happy wife = healthy life’, and also crediting the looks to a ‘good dose of genetics’.
Apparently he says happy wife = healthy life and also a good dose of genetics https://t.co/KDsxxJfkh7

Anil Kapoor was last seen with an ensemble cast in Total Dhamaal. The film also marked his return to the silver screen after 18 years with co-star Madhuri Dixit. The jodi surely seems timeless, as testified by the great numbers that Total Dhamaal did at the box office.
