Dear Bollywood, Ek Trailer Kaafi Hai. 2-3 Trailers Ka Kya Matlab?
There’s no denying that we love Bollywood films but, bro can someone please explain to me why Bollywood has suddenly started releasing more than one trailer?
I mean the point of a trailer is to give the audience a glimpse of the film but, thanks to the trend of putting out more than one trailer, humko puri film ki story line pata chal jati hai!
It’s great that producers and the other team members of a particular film are trying their best to make sure their film gets marketed well, but, please stop putting out Trailer 1, Trailer 2 and so on, it’s a buzz kill to be honest. And, as an audience we stop feeling curious about the film.
One film promotion that Bollywood can take cue from is YRF’s “Pathaan”. Of course, SRK’s comeback was one of the biggest reasons why people flocked to the theatres but, since there was no press conference or any media interaction with the stars of the film, the hype and the curiosity around the film grew ten fold amongst the audience and isn’t that how it should be for every film?
Also, here’s another suggestion (not that you asked for it) but can we have trailers that are under 1:30 minutes? No one wants to see a trailer that’s over 1:30 minutes yaar. Aaj kal itna attention span hi nahi hai!
We already have had enough of old classic songs being remixed and ruined, now please don’t ruin films and their storyline for us too. Please! Pretty please?!
Love,
Bollywood Buff
