Deepika Padukone’s ‘Pathaan’ Character To Have A Crossover With Katrina Kaif’s ‘Tiger’ Character?

Deepika Padukone left everybody stunned with her stellar performance in her latest Shah Rukh Khan and John Abrahm starrer mega blockbuster film ‘Pathaan’. The film that released on January 25 is breaking Box Office records everyday with its booming collection and has created history by becoming the fastest Hindi film to cross the ₹300-crore mark globally.

The film also marked Salman Khan’s cameo as Tiger, his popular character from ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ franchise. While this collaboration between the two Khans left the audience amazed, according to media reports there is a possibility that we will soon witness Deepika Padukone’s ‘Rubai’ crossover with Katrina Kaif’s ‘Zoya’.  

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, ‘Pathaan’ writer Sridhar Raghavan talked about the possibility of the crossover between these two fierce characters. He said, “There are so many films planned by Adi sir (Aditya Chopra). It is a bit early to talk about it because he already has a clear vision. For example- the film opened with the logo of the spy universe because he had a very clear idea and design about where he wanted to go with this. We intend to explore all the existing characters – male and female. We intend to have a crossover between all these worlds because it is the same world.”

He went ahead and said, “We intend to have new agents coming in and we also intend to have older agents that you thought you might never see again. They will be coming back in a manner that you might not have anticipated. There’s a lot of this and that going on. Right now, I will keep it more tantalising rather than revealing too much. Because it is all the work in the progress stage. You will see a couple more characters and the universe expanding. The possibilities are limitless.”

If this crossover takes place, it will mark the first collaboration between Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone.

Audiences will soon get to see Katrina Kaif back in action with the third installment of the Tiger franchise. Salman Khan’s action-romance film helmed by director Maneesh Sharma will hit the theaters on Diwali this year and will mark Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo as ‘Pathaan’.
