If reports are to be believed, it looks like Samantha Ruth Prabhu has quit Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Citadel’. Billed as a “local Original spy series” the upcoming Indian spinoff of Citadel will be headlined by Raj and DK.
Reportedly, Samantha was finalised alongside Varun Dhawan for the Indian spinoff of Citadel but reports suggest that the actress has opted out of the series due to ill health. The report also suggests that Samantha has been advised to remain “completely disappeared from the public for the next three months”. However, there’s been no official statement from her team regarding the same.
The currently untitled project hails from Prime Video and AGBO, the production banner co-founded by Hollywood filmmaking duo Russo Brothers.
Just so you know, the global version of the series is being headlined by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci.
Well, only time will tell if the actress has backed out from the series or this is just a mere rumour.
Earlier, Samantha Ruth Prabhu opened up about being diagnosed with Myositis.
Her team also informed that Samantha would shoot for her upcoming romantic drama, Kushi, also starring Vijay Deverakonda, in January.
On the work front, Samantha was last seen in Yashoda. She will next be seen in Shaakuntalam along with Dev Mohan. Besides this, she also has Kushi in her pipeline. Taapsee Pannu had also confirmed that Samantha will headline a movie that will be produced by her.
