Check Out These Awesome Superhero Trailers As 2019 Is Poised To Be The Year Of The Cape

Judging by all the cool trailers and promos, 2019 is definitely going to be an awesome year for all superheroes movies fans. From Marvel and DC, to Warner and even Dark Horse comics, big banner movie studio are all set to release their latest summer blockbuster flicks this year. 2018 wasn’t half bad, in terms of superhero films but 2019 promises to blow all that out of the water. So grab a bowl of popcorn, and get ready for all the jaw-dropping action coming your way.

Captain Marvel

Release Date – March 8, 2019

Can you think of a better start to the year than this film? Marvel Studios presents Captain Marvel, starring Oscar winner, Brie Larsson as the first superhero movie set to release this year. For the first time, Marvel studios have delivered a female-centric superhero movie which will be really exciting to watch.  The plot of Captain Marvel takes us all back to the 1990s to explain the origin of the titular character. From what we know, it’s going to be an action-packed extravaganza as Captain Marvel takes on the shape-shifting aliens known as The Skrull.



Release Date- April 5, 2019

Hold on to your hats, because DC comics are gearing up for another hit in Shazam! Releasing just a month after Captain Marvel, DC’s Shazam will hit theatres in April of 2019. Starring Zachary Levi in the title role, Shazam looks to be a coming-of-age tale of a god-like superhero with a child’s mentality. If you haven’t read the comics, now is a good time to start as there is a lot of backstory to get through before Shazam is out in theatres.

Hellboy is the most awaited films of the year and fans have been eagerly awaiting its release only to see if this new reboot is able to fill the shoes of its amazing predecessor. If you have seen the first two films in the franchise then you better start Netflixing, asap! From what we know, this film will feature a darker and more violent take on the character as Hellboy (2019) promises to be an R-rated film. While the first trailer and posters have done an amazing job of setting up the world of Hellboy, only time will tell if it as good as the first two films that came before it.

Avengers: Endgame

Release Date- April 26, 2019

Look, let’s get real, Avengers: Endgame is going to be the biggest movie of the year, period.  After the insanity that was Infinity War, every person out there is eagerly awaiting the next chapter of the long-running Avengers saga. We’ve got dead superheroes, broken superheroes and a few more heroes thrown in for good measure looking to beat Thanos. The groundwork has already been laid down for a knockdown, drag out brawl between the mad Titan and Earth’s mightiest superheroes. We can’t wait!

X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Release Date- June 7, 2019


The X-Men have been one of the most successful franchises for Fox as they were smart enough to buy the rights from Marvel back in the day. These films have raked in the big bucks and have made the X-Men into household names. With the amalgamation of Fox and Disney last year,  the X-men will now. Most certainly, be transferred back to Marvel.  With news surrounding the fact that this film might be the last in the Fox X-Men universe, you’ll definitely not want to miss this film.


Spider-Man: Far From Home

Spiderman: Homecoming was such a big hit that Sony and Marvel decided to work together on the project. It made bank at the box office and showed us that the wallcrawler was still a draw. With Marvel guiding the creative look and feel of the film, we can be sure that it’ll stay true to the comic books. With the first teaser trailer already out, we’re really kicked to see how Far From Home will perform at the box office.


New Mutants

Release Date- August 2, 2019

Another X-Men spinoff, New Mutants looks to hit theatres sometime later this year. After all the hurdles that were thrown in its way, it is finally getting a full theatrical release.  Under the banner name of Fox Productions, this movie will be a combination of both action and horror. Expectations from New Mutants are high as the trailer is a creepy and unique look at superheroes!




Release Date- October 4, 2019

Joker is another movie by Warner Bros which will hit the floor by the end of the year. Joaquin Phoenix is playing the legendary character of the Joker and it’ll cool to see how he stacks up against some of the legends that played the clown prince of crime. There are no real trailers out but whatever we’ve seen looks rather promising. It’s coming out later this year so get your clown paint and costume ready.
