Apple Releases Rebellious And Wild ‘Dickinson’ Trailer Starring Hailee Steinfeld

Get ready for Emily Dickinson like you’ve never seen her before as we bring to you a strange little trailer. Apple TV+ released the first trailer of its upcoming series Dickinson; starring Hailee Steinfeld as it the company’s new streaming platform jockeys for a place in the streaming wars spotlight.

Dickinson is an eight-episode, half-hour comedy taking a look at the teenage years of the famed 19th-century American poet Emily Dickinson. And if the trailer tells us anything, it’s- This Emily Dickinson cannot be bothered with minding her manners. Emily says in the trailer, “I have one purpose, and that is to become a great writer”. Just like Dickinson used metered verse as a way to break free of conventional restraints, Steinfeld kicks, defies, and parties her way through the proper-lady formalities her character so despises. The upcoming series is more or less a millennial spin of a chapter in the poet’s life.

Alena Smith created, wrote and is executive producing Dickinson, set to release later this year once Apple TV+ is launched. Hailee Steinfeld is also on board as an executive producer. Additional cast members include Jane Krakowski as Emily’s mother, Toby Huss as her father, and Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt and Adrian Blake Enscoe.
