It’s been years since the six friends were last seen together in Central Perk, but we still can’t get enough of them. And now it seems our prayers have been answered as all the F.R.I.E.N.D.S stars are coming together once again.
Jennifer Aniston, during an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’ show said that she and her former Friends co-star are “working on something” together. While she said that a reboot of the sitcom wouldn’t happen, she said she and Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer were trying to figure out a joint project. Aniston said, “We would love for there to be something, but we don’t know what that something is. So we’re just trying – we’re working on something”.
When DeGeneres pressed her for more specifics, including whether this secret project could be a movie, Aniston declined to provide more information as she said, “I don’t want to lead people on”. The actor, who was being interviewed at the same time as singer Charlie Puth, recently joined Instagram and shared a selfie with her five former co-stars as her very first post on the platform. “We did that because we miss each other and we all happened to be in the same part of the world,” she said. Puth, however, said he had interpreted the selfie as a sign that “there’s something in the works” for the former Friends cast.
Friends fans have longed for a reunion, especially as 2019 marks the sitcom’s 25th anniversary, but nothing has materialised so far beyond Aniston’s group selfie. But we really really hope what the actress said sees the light of day real soon.
