Emotions are running high with the final season of Game of Thrones just 18 days away. And if you’re upset that your favourite show is ending forever on May 19, cheer up because just like you, even the makers can’t get enough of the Iron Throne.
Following the season finale, the show’s loyal fans will be treated to a documentary on May 26 that’ll chronicle the making of the final season. The two-hour feature named Game of Throne: The Last Watch will be helmed by filmmaker Jeanie Finlay, drawing on his experiences from the set for a year.

The documentary has promised to delve deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy worlds of Westeros and Essos to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Island. Even the cast and crew of Game of Thrones will shed light on their struggles as they filmed during extreme storms and shot intense scenes while trying to keep show secrets from constant spoiler-seeking fans.
If you’ve been following the show since Season 1, and love insight into how stuff like Drogon and Viserion get made, this is your golden ticket to the The Wall. At the very least, it’ll give all broken-hearted fans one last campfire to rally around as one of the biggest shows comes to an end.
Who do you think will finally sit on the Iron Throne?
