Everywhere we go, it seems like an affable familiarity is around us, there is nostalgia in the air and everything is warm and gooey. Naturally Friends have to play a role in it, because what else is more comforting than 6 people you love and laugh with! And the sweet enabler for all this, is HBO Max! A yet-to-be-scripted “Friends” reunion special is in the works to happen on the new WarnerMedia streamer. All 6 of the original case members Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, and Matt Le Blanc are going to star in it.
Variety has confirmed that no official plans are currently in place nor are there details on what the special would look like. Most likely it would feature the cast and creators sharing stories and memories from the set of the beloved sitcom. So with internet being riddled with pictures of the Friends’ stars hanging out together, we can safely assume that they are obviously meeting up and discussing things – preferably at a coffee shop!
While we wait more information on the news, we can truly just envision us, on a couch or a Barcalounger, with mugs as big as our faces filled with coffee, watching the embodiment of an entire cultural zeitgeist play on in front us – telling us that they will there for us!
