From her career as an award-winning actress to her outspoken activism in favor of women’s reproductive rights, Jennifer Lawrence wears a colourful hat of many talents. And now she’s dipping her toes into the world of wedding planning or at least wedding ‘gift’ planning. Lawrence released an Amazon wedding registry in a partnership with the e-retail giant and the timing couldn’t be better- the actress announced her engagement to art dealer Cooke Maroney earlier this year.
The list begins with a shout-out from Amazon, saying, “Jennifer Lawrence, actress and philanthropist, is getting married! Discover her essential wedding registry picks on Amazon”. It is followed by a comment from the lady of the hour herself as she said, “Planning a wedding is so exciting, but it can be overwhelming. For anyone else needing a little inspiration, I thought it would be fun to collaborate with Amazon to share a few of my favourite registry wish-list items. It’s so easy, and you can find everything you need all in one place”. The items on the guest list are all pretty reasonably priced and are divided into seven categories- Hosting & Happy Hours, Outdoor Entertaining, Travel, In the Kitchen, Health & Wellness, Set the Table and Smart Home.
The 29-year-old actress also gave a glimpse into her personal life when explaining why she chose each gift for her wish list. Lawrence said, “I love to host people at home. Whether it’s a few friends for drinks or a larger dinner party, here are a few favorite party essentials that will make sure your guests have everything they need”. Some gift options include a pasta maker, some cotton napkins, Apple AirPods, speaker, pizza stone, yoga mat and a cashmere travel set. Jennifer Lawrence got engaged to Cooke Maroney, a 34-year-old art gallerist based in New York in February. On September 16, the couple was spotted getting their marriage license at New York City’s marriage bureau, and sparked buzz they had actually gotten married by showing up with two security guards, a photographer and another friend.
The gift list, hoever, is not Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney’s actual registry. Rather, it’s a list of gifts and household goods that Jennifer Lawrence herself has supposedly selected for you to consider registering for on your own special day.The wedding gift wish list is thought to have a charitable motive behind it too, as at the bottom of the page J-Law explains she’s also partnered with Amazon Conservation, which helps protect the Amazon rainforest and has donated to their cause.
