Monica Lewinsky And Bill Clinton’s Sex Scandal Is Getting A Series Of Its Own

After bringing to the world the controversies and stories which stirred the 90s, Ryan Murphy and FX Network are now getting one of the most talked about events from the decade. The Monica Lewinsky – Bill Clinton scandal that literally rocked the country, and the world. Season 3 of the ‘American Crime Story’ will focus on the 1998 impeachment of President Bill Clinton. The series will be produced by Monica Lewinsky herself. 

The show will revolve around the famous affair Clinton had with then White House intern Lewinsky. Actress Beanie Feldstein will star as Lewinsky, and the series is titled as “Impeachment: American Crime Story”. The series is believed to be based on reporter Jeffrey Toobin’s book, ‘A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President’. It will aim to show a women-oriented perspective of the entire scenario, perhaps bringing in the question of power struggle between a man of means and privilege in contrast to a woman in a vulnerable position.

The series that is slated for a September 2020 release will premiere, in all probabilities, smack dab in the middle of the Presidential election.
