Bill Condon is back with a new movie; and this one does something that’s inexplicably never done before- the movie The Good Liar brings together Dame Helen Mirren and Sir Ian McKellen on the big screen for the very first time ever.
The film based on the popular and acclaimed novel by Nicholas Searle follows the story of con artist Roy Courtnay played by McKellen, who meets wealthy widow Betty McLeish played by Mirren on a dating website. What initially kicks off as a cut-and-dry con job becomes something far more complicated; as Betty opens up her home to Roy, he must choose between his feelings and a target worth 3 million British pounds.
