If you love yourself some gangster drama, you already know all about filmmaker Martin Scorsese’s passion project ‘The Irishman’ that will witness godfathers of the genre – Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci – following the plot based on the story of real-life hitman Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran, whose actions changed the course of American history.
The Irishman will be told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran (Robert De Niro), the hitman who hung around with the most notorious figures of the 20th century and was the likely murderer in one of the most infamous unsolved crimes, the killing of Teamster’s boss Jimmy Hoffa (Al Pacino).
The Irishman opens in theaters on November 1st and hits Netflix on November 27th. The film also stars Harvey Keitel, Ray Romano, Bobby Cannavale, Anna Paquin, Stephen Graham, Stephanie Kurtzuba, Jack Huston, Kathrine Narducci, Jesse Plemons, Domenick Lombardozzi, Paul Herman, Gary Basaraba, and Marin Ireland.
