We Choose World Cup Win Over An Emmy: Team Ted Lasso

Ted Lasso season 3 is here and actor Hannah Waddingham who plays Rebecca Welton the owner of the football team AFC Richmond confesses the famous Ted Lasso or Boss Biscuits certainly improved on the show.

“I have globally complained about those biscuits so much. In season one they tasted like ceiling tiles, but in season 3 they put more butter and sugar in them and who doesn’t like more butter and sugar, they are lovely but first they were awful and Jason Sudekis made sure I got better biscuits to eat this season”.

Despite bagging 11 Emmy’s for best comic series and actor for Jason Sudekis, the team says they would choose a world cup win over an Emmy Award.

Toheb Jimoh who plays Sam Obisanya AFC Richmonds star player says playing football was on his bucket list of characters says, “When Messi won the world cup for Argentina, the celebrated for a week. I would want that for myself and maybe get to play for Nigeria and win the world cup for them”, says the actor who is a key character in the forthcoming season.

Actor Brendan Hunt who plays the gruffy and comical Coach Beard said a World Cup Win for USA in Soccer is definitely on his wish list but he wants an Indian actor to star in the show too.
“Frieda Pinto, have not seen her in a while, she would be perfect as a striker,” says Hunt.

But would it be curtains down for the show postseason 3? Jason Sudekis confesses he does not have the answer to it either. “It’s impossible to say whether there will be another season .I would say it’s done unless the universe wants us to be back in a couple of years. This chapter is definitely finishing”, he announces firmly.
