“Latha Changed Me By Showering Me With Love”- Superstar Rajinikanth Opens Up About His Addictions

Widely regarded as one of the most popular actors of the Indian film industry, Superstar Rajinikanth is someone who is known for his honesty and transparency.

The actor never misses a chance to appreciate his beloved wife Latha and express gratitude towards her. 

Recently, Rajinikanth was invited to an event as the Chief guest where he gave a speech in which he thanked Y Gee Mahendran for introducing him to wife Latha Rajinikanth and how “she changed his life”.

The actor also opened up about his addiction to smoking and drinking and credited his wife for pulling him out of the dangerous loop and credited her for making him a better person. During his speech he said, “What do I tell about YG Mahendra? He was the one who introduced me to Latha and got me married to her. I am 73 years old now, and the reason for my health is my wife. When I was a bus conductor, due to the friendship of some wrong guys, I had many bad habits. I used to eat mutton twice a day. I used to drink daily, and I don’t know how many cigarettes I smoked. After coming to the cinema, with money and fame, imagine how much these would have increased.”

He added,  “According to me, those who consume these three for a longer period of time do not lead a healthy life after 60. In fact, it was my wife, Latha, who changed me by showering me with love. She made me lead a disciplined life.”

Rajinikanth, who openly talks about the significance of his wife in his life, showered her with praises and said that she made him lead a disciplined life. 

The actor who is currently shooting for his upcoming film ‘Jailer’ was last seen in director Siruthai Siva’s ‘Annaatthe’.
