Park Eun Bin is set to hit the stage as a young lawyer once again with Extraordinary Attorney Woo Season 2. Yes, you read that right!
The K-drama that retained the No.1 spot on Netflix’s 10 most-watched non-English series, will be airing its last two episodes this week, but the production house has assured that the show will return with another season in 2024.
In an interview with a media outlet, Kang Tae Oh talked about “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” and said, “Each episode has a variety of incidents, and I felt exhilarated by the characters growing within those [events]. Thanks to the popularity of the work, I’ve heard that there’s a lot of talk about me on social media and YouTube. Some people have been watching my old projects that I have filmed with affection. I’m really grateful.”
Even though the show picked up slowly, it’s been getting good traction globally. According to the producer Lee Sang-Baek, the show is renewed for season 2. He said, “Thanks to the support of many people, we will produce season 2 of ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’. It is not easy to coordinate the schedules of the cast and production team, so we will have to go through a lot of discussions. As long as there are no abnormalities, the goal is to have more than 90% of original cast members in the drama.”
“Extraordinary Attorney You” is a story of a young lawyer Woo Young Woo, played by Park Eun Bin, who has Asperger’s syndrome and joins a major law firm. Due to her high IQ of 164, impressive memory, and creative thought process, the brilliant Woo Young Woo graduates at the top of her class from the prestigious Seoul National University for both college and law school – but she still finds herself struggling when it comes to social interactions.
Kang Tae Oh plays Lee Joon Ho, a kind and popular employee at the law firm that Woo Young Woo works at who is head over heels for her.
