Ranbir Kapoor Talks About His Deep Connection With ‘Brahmāstra’ Character ‘Shiva’ And How Alia Bhatt Is Light Of His Life

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s much anticipated-film ‘Brahmastra’ is all set for its release. While the project helmed by director Ayan Mukerji will showcase the chemistry of real life couple Alia and Ranbir on screen for the very first time, the film stars some big names from the industry like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Nagarjuna Akkineni amoungst several others. 

During a promotional event held in IIT Bombay (Mumbai) on 27th of August, when Ranbir Kapoor was asked how ‘Shiva’ is different from any other character that he has played.  The actor talked about his deep connection with his Brahmastra character and said- “A personality trait of ‘Shiva’ that I really admire is that he says in the film also- Jab bhi kuch andhera ho to light ko dhoondo. Light uss roshni ka naam hai jo sabke andheron se badi hai. Ye shakti hai. Now you will say kahan dhoondte hain isse. Aap dhoond sakte ho apni doston ki hassi main, aap dhoond sakte ho canteen ke pav mai, aap dhoond skte ho ek achhi film main aap dhoond skte ho maa ki godi mai, aap dhoond sakte ho Alia mai.”

Produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures the magnum opus ‘Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva’ will release in cinemas on September 9th, 2022, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
