Five celebrity participants will feature in a stand-up comedy show One Mic Stand on Amazon Prime, among which is Congress MP Shashi Tharoor.
The lineup includes actor Taapsee Pannu and Richa Chadha, artiste Vishal Dadlani and YouTuber Bhuvan Bam.
The celebrities will have stand up comics Kunal Kamra, Ashish Shakya, Rohan Joshi, Zakir Khan and Angad Singh Ranyal as mentors. The show is set to premiere on 15 November.
One Mic Stand will have five episodes in which each celebrity participant will be seen paired with a mentor and will perform a stand-up act to a live audience. The show will be hosted by comedian Sapan Verma.
Here’s what the celebrity-mentor pairings will be -Tharoor with Kamra, Pannu with Ranyal, Chadha with Shakya, Dadlani with Joshi and Bam with Khan. The mentors have been matched to the celebrities keeping “ideologies and personal backgrounds in mind”.
