Indian Designers On The Global Map
As soon as the trailer of Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler starrer comedy mystery film, ‘ Murder Mystery 2’ was unveiled, fans couldn’t keep calm and were in awe to see the two actors donning the desi avatar. In the trailer, Jennifer Aniston looked no less than a dreamy vision as she can be seen wearing an embellished lehenga designed by Indian designer Manish Malhorta.
The embroidered ivory lehenga worn by Aniston is embellished with pearls and sequins and is paired with a matching lehenga skirt, dupatta and chandbalis which was very subtle and classy.
While this is a big moment for the Indian fashion industry, it is not the first time that a Hollywood celebrity has aced an outfit made by an Indian designer.

Gaurav Gupta
Recently, ace designer Gaurav Gupta made his debut at the Paris Haute Couture Week with his collection named ‘Shunya’ that explores the possibilities between zero and infinity, with tangents of mythology, fantasy and surrealism”.
Gupta’s collection showcased at the Haute Couture fashion week featured long trails, shimmery gowns and scupltural draping.
Rahul Mishra
Celebrated Indian couturiers, Rahul Mishra created magic at this year’s Paris Haute Couture week with his elaborate and flamboyant designs. The designer made the heads turn when actor Ashley Park, best known for playing ‘Mindy’ in “Emily In Paris” attended the show wearing a shimmery backless gown made with layered petal shaped panels designed by Mishra.
Falguni Shane Peacock
Fashion enthusiasts took a deep breath when they saw Carrie Bradshaw a.k.a Sarah Jessica Parker sporting a Falguni Shane Peacock lehenga. The actor wore a cobalt blue and maroon colored lehenga that featured hand-embroidered resham work in the last episode of ‘Sex And The City’ reboot ‘And Just Like That…’
