Song Joong Ki Lashes Out Over Wife Katy’s Past

Song Joong Ki’s marriage announcement to Katy Louise Saunders may have broken many a heart.
But the actor is not amused with the media scrutiny and the rumours which followed regarding his wife’s past. No sooner had he announced his relationship with Katy Saunders, a former actress, rumour mill went on an overdrive. Katy Louise was rumoured to be a single mother and the actor in an interview with GQ magazine Korea said,” At first, I was fine. It was an everyday occurrence for us, and even if many people know about it, our love wouldn’t change. But then, when the nonsensical stories kept growing, I got angry honestly. Except for the name of the university that she attended (Milan Bocconi University), none of the rumours were true.”

Song Joong Ki who was previously married to actor Song Hye Kyo, announced his relationship with Katy Louise Saunders in December 2022. In January 2023 he announced his marriage to Katy as well as they were expecting their first child together. Talking about his wife he said “Simply put, she is a friend who gives me trust in many aspects. For example, there are thoughts and philosophies that I usually have, and she is a woman who reconvinces me that they are correct. [She is] a friend who often tells me, “That sounds like you.”

The couple are currently in Europe where the actor is shooting for his film My Name is
Loh Kiwan.
