16 year old fearless environmental activist Greta Thunberg started the powerful battle against climate change. This strike involves people all across the globe protesting against mining projects, greenhouse gas emissions and pollution in order to raise awareness and force those in power to take concrete action for the benefit of the Earth. World leaders in the process are asked to declare climate emergency as well. The strike has engaged 1.4 million students from 128 countries including India. It demands change to kick start a massive action plan and takes place just before the United Nations climate action summit. The question here is how would you participate in it, well, it’s very simple, pick your country, register your strike and skip a day at work or school, join an existing strike in your city or start a new one. In India, it is being observed on 20th September.
