Family Food Chronicles: The Simplest Homestyle Fish Recipe Ever

As we all know, the times are very uncertain right now. We don’t know exactly what normal means anymore, but at the same time we have been given the blessing of spending time with our loved ones, eating home cooked food, getting some me-time. The way we eat food has also changed, and no longer is it in a routine where some days we cook, some days we order in, some day we go out; now is the time to have a relationship with food and help prepare fares that are both delicious and simple, while being mindful of not wasting any.

So keeping that in mind, the dish I am going to talk about is a preparation of Katala variety of fish. It is very easy, it is very delicious, and most importantly the texture and flavour will make you not yearn for outside treats!

Ingredients

1 Kg FISH (any variety)

1 Tbsp BESAN

1 Tbsp CORNFLOUR

1 Tbsp MAIDA

SALT to Taste

2 Tsp KASURI METHI

½ Tbsp HALDI

½ Tbsp GARAM MASALA

½ Tbsp DHANIYA POWDER

½ Tbsp RED CHILLI POWDER

2 Tbsp MUSTARD OIL

1 ½ Tbsp CURD

1 ½ Tbsp GINGER & GARLIC PASTE

FOOD COLOUR Optional

Method

Take the fish, wash it well and let the water stain out. Now marinate the fish with all the above ingredients and cover it. Keep it in the fridge for 4 to 5 hours. Preheat the oven t0 200 degrees and then cook for 45-50 min. Finally serve it, crispy, juicy, and yummy!
