India has been stealing limelight at the ICC World Cup 2019. However, during the team’s match against Bangladesh, the world’s attention shifted from the world-class players to a fan cheering the Indian team with the tricolor and a bright yellow vuvuzela. It was none other than the 87-year-old super fan of the Men in Blue- Charulata Patel, who was supporting her home team with the zeal of a youngster.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma greeted Patel right after the match; the Indian skipper even received blessings from the 87-year-old fan. Further Kohli even asked Charulata Patel to attend all of India’s matches in the World Cup and promised to arrange tickets for her. After the match, Kohli also took to Twitter and called Patel “one of the most passionate and dedicated fans” he has ever seen.
Also would like to thank all our fans for all the love & support & especially Charulata Patel ji. She's 87 and probably one of the most passionate & dedicated fans I've ever seen. Age is just a number, passion takes you leaps & bounds. With her blessings, on to the next one. 🙏🏼😇 pic.twitter.com/XHII8zw1F2
