The English Premiere League To Resume June 17

With Bundesliga resuming matches, and a number of restrictions being eased in England amid the coronavirus pandemic, there is some great news for Premiere League fans – the very coveted, and intensely popular English Premiere League is set to restart June 17.

This resumption was confirmed by Comcast-owned Sky Sports, that owns the majority of EPL game rights in the U.K. As per reports, all clubs have very recently unanimously agreed to resume contact training. The 2019-2020 season was to be wrapped up by May 17, but owing to the COVID 19 scare globally, the league was suspended in March. The news is most welcome to fans of Liverpool FC, as the club was a mere two wins away from winning their first league title in 30 years.

The first two games post resumption will be Aston Villa vs. Sheffield United and Manchester City vs. Arsenal.
