Roger Federer Wants To Watch A Bollywood Movie And This Is What Desi Fans Suggested

It seems Roger Federer was on a movie marathon while flying to China for the upcoming Shanghai Rolex Masters. The tennis legend created quite a stir on social media as Federer got involved with his fans in an impromptu Twitter session, where his fans pitched movies for him to watch during the flight.

To begin with, the tennis star tweeted, “Any movie suggestions? #AvengersAssemble #Aquaman.” Federer, after hearing hundreds of movie recommendations like Detective Pikachu and Wonder Woman, specified his search even further and that’s what created a storm on social media. The tennis superstar asked his followers to suggest him a Bollywood classic and came pouring tons of responses filled with all kinds of suggestions. From Sholay to Baahubali, here are a few movies the 20-time Grand Slam champion was advised to watch; the tennis pro even thanked one of his followers for referring him a few classics and also revealed that he hadn’t seen Danny Boyle’s 2008 Oscar-winning hit, Slumdog Millionaire.

While a lot of Indian fans recommend some cult classics, a lot of fans also introduced Federer to a few Arbaaz Khan film titles. Fans for the longest time have called Arbaaz Khan a doppelganger of the tennis star and hence, some of them thought that it was perhaps important for Federer to know about the actor. From Khan’s debut film Daraar, to Hello Brother to Soch, fans replied to Federer’s tweet with the film posters.

Whether Roger Federer finally settled in on movie to watch, we’ll have to wait to find out another day. Nevertheless, the Swiss tennis star reached Shanghai, where he’ll take part in the Shanghai Rolex Masters.
