A match between India and Australia, especially at the World Cup is always a blockbuster encounter. And the stakes were even higher in the yesterday’s match as both the pre-tournament favourites came with a hundred percent record in the series. And just like we expected, the match was one filled with intense moments and drama- Steve Smith, out of all, got out on LBW, Shikhar Dhawan hammered a century, Aaron Finch was accused of ball-tampering and Virat Kohli asked all his fans to stop booing Smith.
However, after Rohit Sharma chipped in with a fifty, and Kohli’s 82 runs and Pandya’s 48 propelled the Indian team to 353, they scored a massive victory over Australia and cricket fans around the world couldn’t contain their excitement. Tweets and posts flooded social media, all shouting out the Men in Blue’s glory; here are some of the best reactions in the internet after India defeated Australia .

Best team in the tournament so far … #India #OnOn

Wow. How good is this from Virat Kohli? Steve Smith is sent to field on the boundary, and immediately cops the most hideous boos from the Indian fans. So Kohli turns to that stand and gestures for them to clap Smith. #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/GBTPaolOXh

So 15 overs to go and Bumrah will bowl 6 of those and the fifth bowler has bowled out. I think that's very well planned by Virat and Team #IndvAus

What makes India such a hard team to beat is that they ask you to attack early – with bat & with ball – to expose their weaker areas & avoid their strengths. Attacking early is scary because it is when you feel like you have the most to lose. #CWC19

V imp win for India. Beating Aus always great psychological boost. Also gives prospects of getting into semis big fillip

Top win for India. Batsmen provided a safe total and in intervals, which is important to recognise, the bowling was excellent. This is a powerful performance and reminiscent of the start in 2015.

Stopped them after 10 straight wins. This is such an important win!

Great all round batting effort by India. @SDhawan25 paced his innings beautifully and all the other batsman complemented him superbly. Backing the bowlers to do the job #IndvAus

So pleasing to see the value Rohit is putting on his wicket. No ego. Two back to back quality innings… 👏👏 #CWC19 #IndvAus

Don't underestimate the importance of the Dhawan innings. Allowed Rohit and Kohli to ease themselves in and set the scene for Pandya.

Early caution. Then controlled acceleration. India showing there are more than one paths to 350.#INDvAUS #CWC19

Reminder: India have lost just 2 out of 18 games in three World Cups this decade – a group match vs South Africa in Nagpur and a semi-final vs Australia in Sydney. #CWC19

It was India that ended Australia’s run of 16 consecutive Test wins in 2001.
It was India that ended Australia’s run of 16 consecutive Test wins in 2008.
It is India to have ended Australia’s run of 19 consecutive successful chases in World Cup.#INDvAUS #AUSvIND #CWC19— Rajneesh Gupta (@rgcricket) June 9, 2019
33 batsmen out bowled in this World Cup so far. 5 times the bails have neglected to fall off. That is an 87% success rate. Disappointing if you're a bail, I imagine. You want to be up in the high 99s.
