This man’s music is as soulful as his lyrics, Prateek Kuhad creates magic. Kuhad’s melodious tunes are warm like a cup of hot cocoa on a cold night. Prateek’s passionate fanbase turns to his dreamy music to feel ‘the feels’.
“For me, the lyrics come first,” Kuhad says. “That’s the most important. Then, the production. And then, the music.”

Nischay Parekh and Jivraj Singh. The more you listen to them, the more these guys grow on you, such is their music.
Jivraj wanted to be a visual artist before he became a musician and Nischay wants everything to just be perfect, he believes shape, size, form, sound… all of it affects our state of mind. This duo’s music has a Wes Anderson’s visual style narrative style scrawled all over it.

#5 Big RI & Meba Ofilia
Hailing from Shillong, both these artists have been stirring quite a buzz with their style. Meba won the Best Indie Act at the 2018 Europe Music Awards, this woman has incredible vocal talent. Big Ri is a part of the revolutionary hip hop act, Khasi Bloodz who have taken the North East by storm.

#6 Parvaaz
This Bangalore based band’s tunes are rock music infused with Indian classical and the soothing vocals are mainly Urdu, Hindi and a tad bit of Kashmiri. Parvaaz is one of the brightest bands in the Independent music scene and their music feels like a touch of a friendly hand, a heart-to-heart by the fireplace.

Aditya Ashok’s sincere love affair with fast paced drum beats and heavy bass is written all over his music. From the sandy shores of Goa’s Sunburn Festival to the lush green hills of north India’s Escape Festival and closing the Bacardi NH7 Weekender’s Electronic stage 2 years in a row, he has given us seizures on the dance floor at many other major festivals in the subcontinent.
