After India recorded the single-day highest spike in cases for the fourth day in a row, the country is now in the list of 10 countries that are worst hit by the novel coronavirus. India saw 6,977 new patients in the last 24 hours, with the total tally being almost 1.39 lakh cases. The deaths recorded in the country have crossed the 4,000 mark.
The country is right now in the fourth phase of a nationwide lockdown, with ease in restrictions that has been specifically decided keeping in mind re-opening the economy to make sure the country doesn’t incur a deep recession.
