51 Lakh Workers Get Jobs In UP, 10 Lakh More To Be Employed By Next Week

Amid all the negativity floating around the news lately, a glimmer of hope was seen early Monday morning when Uttar Pradesh government announced 51 Lakh workers were provided with jobs under the MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) and around 10 Lakh more will be employed by next week.

With COVID-19 putting financial strains on economies all around the world, this is a huge win not only for the UP government but also for the Indian central government.

CM Adityanath had instructed the officials to link women with the Rural Livelihood Mission and to provide employment opportunities to them along with that he also said that the State Government would prepare an action plan to provide social and economic security to the workers.
