Tamil Nadu saw an interesting invention recently, when a robot that was modelled after the highly contagious coronavirus was deployed in a containment zone in Chennai to sanitise the area.

The designer of the robot, Gowtham, said that this robot is just a prototype, and currently they are trying to build better ones.

However, with this invention it is clear that a lot of people are going to depending on developing technology that minimises human interaction and proximity, especially as the country battles through a surge of rising Covid 19 cases. We hope that these inventions are able to help ease the process of sanitisation, especially in containment zones and hot spots.
