With doctors making a plea to the Government of India for more and better protective gear as they work on the frontlines during the unprecedented medical emergency owing to the Coronavirus Pandemic – a tweet by UNDP Serbia ruffled some feathers of netizens.
Apparently, as per the tweet, India has sent medical protective equipment to Belgrade to ensure their capacity to tackle the virus. However, Twitter didn’t take this lightly to bed, but was instantly on the throes of disagreement and anger because of how scarce the protective gear is available to the Indian doctors fighting and struggling at this time.
A doctor from a government hospital Dr. Taarini Johri was amongst those who tweeted as well.
The 2nd cargo Boeing 747 with 90t of medical protective equipment landed from India to Belgrade today. The transportation of valuable supplies purchased by @SerbianGov has been fully funded by the #EU while @UNDPSerbia organized the flight & ensured the fastest possible delivery. pic.twitter.com/pMZqV7dwTg

This is Modi's India!

What's the logic of sending medical equipments to Serbia when there's shortage of these items in our own country?

While appreciate you getting the products from India but absolutely painful to see doctors not getting the products in India and are fighting without proper PPEs. Is this justified? @narendramodi @PMOIndia @MoHFW_INDIA

At a time when such equipment is in severely short supply in India?…

Yes. I wonder Serbia mein aisa kya hai jo India ke medical staff mein nahi hai?

This is criminal conspiracy. Our fellow citizens are dying , our doctors are working without protective gears, and bania govt. exporting these life saving products.

The counts are getting increased exponentially day by day and at this time do we really need to export of valuable medical equipments rather than to keep it for our doctors use as they are risking their lives while treating the COVID-19 patients..🤔
