Dear Celebs, Make Your Products Affordable For The “Aam Janta”

Celebrities have associated themselves with brands and most of them nowadays have their own brand, be it Katrina Kaif’s Kay Beauty or Aryan Khan’s new luxury streetwear brand D’YAVOL X (best of luck pronouncing that).

Well, we have no issues with celebrities trying to make a few extra bucks but, can someone please explain to us why these brands have exorbitant prices? Just saying, if you want the aam janta to buy your products the prices should also be affordable right? Or at least somewhat affordable. Don’t get us wrong. We aren’t saying they should sell their products at dirt cheap prices but thoda realistic rakho na.

Priyanka Chopra selling tablecloths for a whopping 30k and Aryan Khan selling jackets for 2 lakhs? Is this for real? What is even happening? We get that celebrities are trying to capitalise on their name and their popularity but itna mehenga saman kaun khareedega? We would love to but unfortunately we just can’t even dream of buying something. 

It’s not just PeeCee or Aryan, even Deepika Padukone has a skincare brand that she recently launched and all people could talk about was the prices of her products. One of her products named Ashwagandha Bounce is priced at Rs 2700 for a mere 50 ml bottle. 

We really don’t know who decides the prices but all we can hope for is that our voices are heard and changes are made kyunki apne favourite celebrities ke products own karna toh hum bhi deserve karte hai yaar. We get that celebrities are trying to focus on the elite class but koi humare baare mein bhi toh soch lo! Pretty please!
