After a Kerala Church opening their gates for Muslim protesters, the state’s religious institutions have once again set a precedent for the whole country.
Cheruvally Muslim Jamaat, a mosque in Kerala has opened their gates for a Hindu traditional Marriage. The family of the bride, Anju (22) belongs from a financially backward family and went to the mosque with a request to help with the wedding.
The bride’s family has been in trouble since the death for her father, Ashokan in 2018.
The committee secretary of the Cheruvally Jamaat, Nujumudeen Alummoottil have also personally looked after the studies of the younger child of the family.
He said “The mosque committee will gift 10 sovereigns of gold and Rs 2 lakh to Anju as a wedding gift. The marriage will take place according to Hindu rituals. We have also arranged food for around 1,000 persons”.
The wedding is going to take place on 19th January between 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
