Farmers Blast Loud Music In An Effort To Ward Off Locusts From Fields

Huge swarms of desert locusts are out destroying crops across states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. For which drones, tractors and cars have been sent out to track and spray the pests with pesticides.

However, farmers were seen adopting a ‘desi-jugaad.’ A video shared online by a senior inspector from Uttar Pradesh shows a DJ booth, set-up in the middle of the fields, blasting music to ward off the locusts.
