Meghan Markle Cuts Short Maternity Leave To Resume Royal Duties

When you are a royal, duties are ample. Be it the Queen’s Garden Party or the Trooping the Colour ceremony, every member of the Royal family has their own unique role to play. And Meghan Markle seems to be nailing at that as the Duchess of Sussex is all set to return to her royal duties just over a month after giving birth.

Meghan Markle will end her maternity leave and make her first postnatal royal engagement on June 8 when she will attend the Trooping of the Colour to honour Queen Elizabeth. Even though the Queen’s actual birthday is on April 21st, but due to the United Kingdom’s fickle weather and the fact that she’s, well, a royal, she gets a second birthday party in the form of the Trooping the Colour ceremony and parade in June. This also means we’ll get another royal family balcony moment, this time with Prince Archie.

Prince Harry and Meghan welcomed their first child earlier this month on May 6. Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is seventh in line to the throne.
