Pet Dog Waits Patiently For Dead Owner’s Return, And The Internet Is Heartbroken

Here’s proof that a dog really is man’s best friend. A loyal pet- Mhee waited patiently by the side of a pond after his master fell in and drowned.

Owner Somprasong Srithongkhum from Thailand was turning on a sprinkler when he is believed to have slipped on the steep bank and fallen into a swamp. When he didn’t return home, Srithongkhum’s cousin, Somporn went looking for him but only found the family dog whimpering on the shore. And since then, heartbreaking images showing six-year-old Mhee looking out over the water of the pond with his master’s flip-flops and torch beside him have gone viral.

Upon realizing the situation, Somporn immediately called for help and rescue teams pulled out the body of the 56-year-old from the water on November 1. According to reports, Somporn said, “Our daily routine was going out collecting rubber in the morning but last night he told me that he felt sick. This morning I came to see him whether he needed any medication but I did not find him at the house. I wandered around looking for him and found Mhee sitting next to his sandals, like he was order   ed to wait for someone. I think my cousin accidentally fell down into the pond when he went there to open the valve on his sprinkler which waters the durian on the farm. He might have fallen because he wasn’t well”.
