The internet is at once a medium where you can either be increasingly anonymous or abjectly visible. There is rarely any in-between. Being on a public portal, with some facets of your life up for grabs on the non-elusive web, what you mostly receive is a barrage of total crap. So when a woman tagged the Pune Police in a tweet to enquire about the number of a police station. After Pune Police responded with the number, a man replied to their tweet asking police to share the woman’s phone number.
The Pune Police replied promptly to the man, their witty best, making sure that they set an example. Twitter of course went ga-ga over the tweet, because well, who doesn’t want the Police having their back and helping them get out of untoward pickles!
Sir, we are more interested in your number currently, to understand your interest in the lady’s number. You may DM. We respect privacy. https://t.co/LgaD1ZI2IT
