THIS Picture Will Melt Your Heart & Give You Goosebumps
Netflix’s Documentary ‘The Elephant Whisperer’ made headlines after winning the Oscars for the ‘Best Documentary Short’ and it was truly a proud moment for India.

And, while Guneet Monga and Kartiki Gonsalves were present at the 95th Academy Awards to receive the award, Bomman and Bellie who played a crucial role in the documentary couldn’t make it to the event to hold the award in their hands so they patiently waited for it to return to India.

After returning to India, Kartiki invited the indigenous couple, Bomman and Bellie, and celebrated the victory with them. She also posted a picture of the couple, visibly looking jubilant, holding the coveted Oscar trophy. “It’s been a long four months since we’ve been apart and now I feel like I’m home…..,” she captioned the post.
Well, their happy faces say it all.
For the uninitiated, The Elephant Whisperers highlights a very empathetic picture of Bomman and Bellie, a childless couple, who take care of orphaned baby elephants like their own. The documentary is replete with heart-warming moments as the audience sees a strong bond blossom between humans and animals. The two elephants that we see in the documentary are named Raghu and Ammu.
