Sashay, we stay! 💅🏻 Last night, we launched YouTube.com/Fashion, the world's largest online home of style video content from around the globe. I’m incredibly honored and humbled (and relieved?) so many fabulous fashion folks came out to celebrate. I've always thought mixing fashion and tech was the future… so a special thanks to @future for performing at the party. (You didn't think I’d get thru this caption without a bad pun, did you?) From 2014 to 2018, the number of Fashion & Beauty channels on @YouTube has grown over 6x, generating billions of views in the last year alone. I spent the last year working with @Google's incredible engineer team to build an ultimate destination for fashion shows, beauty tutorials, closet tours, backstage secrets — your front row seat to the entire industry! PS. A special thanks to the best events team for pulling this together and to @prada for my pewter suit. (*Miranda Priestly voice*: "It's not grey, it's not silver. It's pewter.") 📸: @bfa & @gettyimages

Fashion critic and author Derek Blasberg took to Instagram to explain why the ‘vertical’ is remarkable. “Last night, we launched YouTube.com/Fashion, the world’s largest online home of style video content from around the globe. I was incredibly honored (also: relieved?) so many fabulous fashion folks came out to celebrate,” he wrote. “I’ve always thought mixing fashion and tech was the future… so a special thanks to @future for performing at the party.”

“From 2014 to 2018, the number of Fashion & Beauty channels on @YouTube has grown over 6x, generating billions of views in the last year alone,” Derek Blasberg went on to write. “I spent the last year working with @Google’s incredible engineer team to build an ultimate destination for fashion shows, beauty tutorials, closet tours, backstage secrets — your front row seat to the entire industry!”
