All travel enthusiasts, rejoice, you can now visit the opposite end of the world without actually going through the tedious visa application process. In what came as a surprise, Brazil President Jair Bolsonaro said the South American nation will allow Indian tourists or businesspeople to visit the country with a visa. All Chinese are also exempted from the visa application process.
A far-right politician, Bolsonaro came to power in early 2019 and made it a policy since then to reduce visa requirements, but only from developed countries. Earlier this year, the Brazilian government ended visa requirements for tourists and businesspeople from the United States, Canada, Japan and Australia as well. In august last year, even Thailand the visa fees waiver for Indian tourists until April 2020 to boost the country’s growth.
